Welcome to the home of Coastal Editing. We are a virtual company offering a full spectrum of publishing services ranging from ghostwriting and developmental editing to copy editing and proofreading. Please let us know what your needs and questions are; we will be more than happy to help. Be sure to visit our Services page to see how we can help you with your next project.

If our enthusiasm isn't enough to tempt you to give us a try, you'll be pleased to hear that we bring twenty years of publishing experience to the table. We have worked in-house at publishing companies as well as being freelancers. We are published authors who know what it's like to put your "baby" out there for someone else to scrutinize. We have had our own run-ins with scams, and understand any hesitation on your part. We will not scam you; we will do what we can to help you. If we can't help you, we'll tell you that. We encourage you to ask lots of questions.

Coastal Editing is a virtual company, meaning it exists online. The co-owners actually live on two different coasts. Darya lives on the West Coast and Cindi lives on the East Coast. Darya has better weather, but Cindi gets to play in the snow. Visit our About Us page to learn more.

Here is what a few of our happy clients have had to say about us and our services. We hope to hear from you soon!

Cindi Pietrzyk is a fantastic editor! Not only is she an expert on basic spelling, grammar, and punctuation, but she's a professional with a great eye for inconsistencies, clarity of text, character development, etc.  She gently makes comments and suggestions for improvement while always respecting an author's work.

Last year, Cindi did such a great job editing one of my novels that I employed her to work on a second one. I was totally pleased with both jobs.

Without hesitation, I give Cindi my highest recommendation.

To my editor and dear friend, Darya Crockett, you have earned the honor of being the single-most dedicated professional associated with this work. Your tireless efforts have contributed immeasurably to the overall quality and content of this book. Of all the lessons learned, finding the right editor is perhaps the most valuable and the only thing more valuable is being friends with you. Thank you.
